This is not just a scent.
It’s a ceremony.
It’s a return.
It’s an anchor for the soul.
DESCRIPTION
Harvested from the cliffs of Dhofar in southern Oman, this rare Boswellia sacra is among the world’s purest frankincense. Its scent—bright citrus opening into golden resin—has sanctified spaces and spirits for over 5,000 years. Used in Greek Orthodox rites and Sufi prayer, in temples and healing chambers across continents, this is sacred smoke in its highest form.
At Anthologist, we’ve created a ritual to honor its power.
Each set includes hand-selected frankincense tears, brass tongs for tending the ember, and a bespoke red clay incense vessel—thrown and fired in our Athens ceramics studio, its form inspired by ancient votive objects.
Your ritual elements arrive in a handmade pouch sewn from reclaimed galabeya cloth. The pouch is marked with our signature symbol: the Anthologist Chimera, cast in solid brass.
Use this ritual when the energy needs shifting, when a space asks to be cleared, or when the moment calls for presence. Light a charcoal, offer the resin, and let the scent speak.
