The Store at The Ilisian
The Store at the Ilisian opened on April 23 as retail hospitality expert and designer Andria Mitsakos’s most ambitious venture to date—a 325 m² editorial retail concept at the heart of Conrad Athens The Ilisian, the former Hilton Athens, which first opened on this day in 1963. One of the most anticipated hotel openings in Greece, the Ilisian sets the stage for a new approach to hospitality, where retail is treated as an integral part of the guest experience.
Operated by Mitsakos through her Anthologist platform, the store introduces a singular concept to Athens: a modern emporium that draws on the cultural heyday of great department stores, reinterpreted through a contemporary, editorial lens. More than 90% of the assortment is exclusive to the space, bringing together global designers, independent makers, and Greek artisans across fine jewelry, ready-to-wear, beauty, furniture, lighting, and home objects.
The store features the world’s first Monocle shop-in-shop, alongside a series of original collaborations and one-off pieces, presenting a fresh and deliberate perspective on retail in Athens—one that invites curiosity, discovery, and a deeper connection to craftsmanship. It marks Anthologist’s fourth retail concept in Greece.
