Anthologist x Phāea Blue

"Seeing Greece in a New Light."

With the launch of the brand and its flagship hotel, the philosophy—Seeing Greece in a New Light—and the etymology behind the PHAEA name (the light of the eye, a sign of joy & happiness), inspired the installation at Anthós restaurant at Phaea Blue.

As interpreted by Anthologist's Creative Director, Andria Mitsakos, “We must reflect on the past to envision the future."

Greece has many facets, but uncovering them shows them each, in a new light. Yet it’s how we uncover them—the actual process—which shows us its soul. Only then, can we see the light. I chose to do this through craft.

Her story of the installation follows:

In the luminous dance of existence, we must turn our gaze towards the reflective wonders of the world —glass, brass, mirrors, ceramic glazes, water, fire, even people and their shadows.

These materials, some with their inherent ability to catch and play with the light, serve as metaphors for our introspection.

Just as these surfaces cast back our image and the world around us, so too should we reflect upon our past to illuminate the paths ahead.

In this mirrored journey, each glint and gleam offers insights, turning reflections into our guides for tomorrow, creating shadows of our soul.

Using objects of reflection—both literally and figuratively—we create awareness and dimension.
