Seeking love as ours
DESCRIPTION
A testament to craftsmanship, this hand-loomed wool textile from Metsovo, Greece, dates back to the 1960s. Made from 70% sheep’s wool and 30% goat’s wool, it balances softness with structure—designed to endure, just like the artisans who wove it. Understated yet intricate, its natural ivory base allows delicate handwoven geometric motifs to take center stage. Folk-inspired diamond patterns in deep green, muted red, and earthy brown echo traditional Epirus style, while a contrasting forest green border with rhythmic zigzag elements adds movement and depth. A hand-knotted fringe completes the piece with an artisanal touch.
Each entirely unique, Anthologist’s textiles are a coveted collection of those sought-after, magazine page-worthy pieces that are sure sell-outs. All of our stock is sourced from personal collections of the highest quality craftsmanship, with each piece hand-chosen by our founder based on rarity, provenance, and artisanal integrity. When sourced, most textiles remain NFS (not for sale) in our founder’s personal collection, with each piece slowly released into the inventory on an ongoing basis.
As each piece was painstakingly handmade on a loom, there can be natural defects, as well as minor signs of age, appropriate to its provenance and past use, which we find quite beautiful, adding to its soul.
