DESCRIPTION

A creature of many lives—and one true home.

Born in the highlands of Chiapas, Mexico—where the mountains hum with myth and every stitch carries intention—this Chimera was crafted by women who pass their knowledge through touch, not textbooks. Made by hand, made with heart, and made to challenge the expected.

Lion. Goat. Serpent. Not quite one. Never just three. A hybrid by nature and by design.

As it took form—mane blazing, tail curling, horns twisting skyward—it became more than an object. It became a statement: that identity is layered, that contradiction is beautiful, and that the wildest forms often hold the deepest meaning.

Its journey eastward felt inevitable. From artisan hands in Mexico to the myth-drenched soil of Greece, the Chimera crossed borders, carrying stories in its seams. And when it arrived at Anthologist, it paused—not as a guest, but as if returning. As if recognizing something.

Here, in its new home, it found something unexpected: its reflection. In a world that celebrates contradiction and honors imperfection, it had found its counterpart. Anthologist had long adopted the Chimera as its symbol—a creature of complexity, a patron of creative freedom, a reminder that nothing meaningful is ever just one thing.

Now, this handmade version lives among the objects and atmospheres it was always meant to join—among books and textiles, light, and silence. Watching. Shifting. Reminding us that the most extraordinary things are often made from many parts—and that the truest homes are the ones that welcome every version of who we are.

Made in Mexico. Rooted in Greece. Born to be Anthologist.
The Chimera lives here. And it always has.
