DESCRIPTION
Vrysoula (Βρυσούλα – A diminutive of vrysi, meaning “spring” or “fountain.” It’s also a common village name across Epirus, evoking quiet mountain life, running water, and deep-rooted craft.)
A rare vintage wool textile from Epirus, Vrysoula features a natural undyed base interrupted by vivid woven bands of red, green, black, and cobalt. The geometric motif—mirrored in our matching pillows—is symbolic of continuity, guardianship, and the interwoven nature of mountain village life.
Substantial yet soft, this piece works beautifully as a throw at the foot of a bed, over a wide bench, or even as a bold wall hanging. It’s a tapestry of Epirus itself—stoic, bright-hearted, and built to last.
