DESCRIPTION

Polychroníon (Πολυχρονίον): Greek for many-colored or multihued — inspired by the bright, jewel-toned motifs scattered across the deep black ground like festive constellations.

Polychroníon is a celebration of color—a dense, handwoven field of midnight wool punctuated by embroidered symbols in fuchsia, emerald, sapphire, citron, and flame red. Small mirrored elements catch the light, lending the piece an almost ceremonial presence. Draped over a sofa or hung as a vertical panel, it becomes a textured tapestry of movement and memory.

Polychroníon represents abundance, cultural inheritance, and the layered stories carried through generations of craft. Each stitched motif suggests a wish for prosperity and protection, making the textile feel both decorative and talismanic—a vibrant keeper of winter light.
