DESCRIPTION

A radiant example of Greek folk embroidery, this vintage runner is alive with rhythmic pattern and jewel-toned threadwork. Vertical bands of geometric motifs in emerald, fuchsia, saffron, and violet are flanked by columns of stylized florals—creating a vibrant sense of symmetry and movement. The result is both festive and meditative, like a woven chant. Perfect for anchoring a table, altar, or console with color and care. Each folkloric emblem is deeply symbolic, representing themes of prosperity, protection, and tradition, as seen in the intricate patterns passed down through generations. As each piece was painstakingly handmade on a loom, there can be natural defects, as well as minor signs of age, appropriate to its provenance and past use, which we find quite beautiful, adding to its soul.
