DESCRIPTION
Arevátik (Արևատիկ): Armenian for “little sun” a word used poetically to describe warmth, protection, and the radiance carried in traditional woven motifs.
A handwoven Armenian wall hanging in deep garnet, olive green, and midnight tones, edged with intricate borders and finished with a soft black fringe. The central forms echo the geometric language of Caucasian textiles, where symbols of light, home, and spiritual protection were woven into everyday objects. Arevátik brings that heritage forward, offering richness of color and a sense of quiet ceremonial presence.
In Armenian tradition, the sun symbolizes life, endurance, and the safeguarding of the household. This textile embodies that belief, holding warmth and narrative in every thread, a luminous reminder of craft passed from one generation to the next.
