With designs commissioned by our founder, Anthologist’s ceramics represent a return to authenticity. Each piece is hand-painted in an Athens workshop, a place we share with an artisan from a long line of ceramicists on the island of Crete. The modern and simplistic dot design reflects Anthologist’s cherished merging of two worlds and eras, symbolizing order and harmony and echoing the Hellenic fascination with geometry and symmetry. The orderly dotted pattern is believed to ward off evil spirits and bring good fortune. A stunning addition to any table, the pieces look as chic in a contemporary setting as they do at Andria’s beloved Panito Cottage in Paros.
