A woven story
A thought, a philosophy
Each is nostalgia
DESCRIPTION
Anthístrato (Ανθίστρατο): Greek for “flower-arrayed” — inspired by the rows of tiny woven blossoms and jewel-toned motifs that bloom across the dark ground of the textile.
A handwoven wool pillow in midnight black with vibrant accents of magenta, saffron, emerald, and ivory. Its vertical bands of geometric florals recall the decorative panels once used in northern Greek homes, where pattern and color brought warmth to winter interiors. Anthístrato feels both traditional and contemporary, adding texture and depth to any setting.
In Greek folk symbolism, embroidered flowers represent renewal, protection, and the quiet joys that carry a household through the colder months. This pillow holds that sentiment — a compact expression of heritage and handcraft, inviting brightness and intimacy into the home.
