A woven story
A thought, a philosophy
Each is nostalgia
DESCRIPTION
Aléxandros (Αλέξανδρος): Greek for “defender of the people” chosen in recognition of the Kalash tribe’s lineage, said to descend from the soldiers of Alexander the Great, whose traditions continue through their textile arts.
A handwoven silk pillow crafted by Kalash artisans, featuring intricate diamond motifs in shades of crimson, gold, and deep green. Its luminous surface and densely patterned geometry speak to a weaving tradition preserved across centuries in the remote valleys of northern Pakistan. Aléxandros brings a sense of heritage and refinement, its shimmering palette catching the light like embroidered armor.
In Kalash and broader Hellenic lore alike, the legacy of Alexander represents courage, cultural exchange, and the meeting of worlds. This pillow embodies that mythic thread — a textile born of ancient lineage and living craft, carrying history, resilience, and artistry into the modern home.
