The Anthologist Ark: Mythology Brought to Life

As the world embarks on a new Odyssey, we celebrate the creatures, symbols, and stories that have inspired Anthologist from the very beginning.

Created by Anthologist founder Andria Mitsakos and crafted in collaboration with artisans across the world, the Ark brings together hand-stitched creatures. Both companions and keepsakes, they are soft studies in comfort, character, and craft.

Together, they gather what we love most—the handmade, the symbolic, and the soulful—forming a world that feels at once nostalgic and new: a soft mythology brought to life, one stitch at a time.

Leopoldo, the White Jaguar

Handcrafted by women artisans in Chiapas, Leopoldo is a keeper of courage and a wanderer of worlds. Rooted in the symbolism of the white jaguar, he reminds us that the stories and companions of childhood have a way of finding us again, often when we least expect them.

Delos & Delphi, the Dolphins

Delos and Delphi follow the ancient currents of the Aegean, their stories shaped by sea, stone, destiny, and myth.

Delos found his identity among the sunlit dolphin mosaics of the ancient world, while Delphi followed an inner tide toward Apollo’s sacred sanctuary. Together, these woolen companions celebrate a creature long intertwined with the mythology and imagination of Greece.

Oscar, the Octopus

Oscar takes us beneath the surface to a world inspired by Minoan mythology and the enduring symbolism of the octopus.

Appearing across ancient art, its flowing tentacles have evoked protection, creation, movement, and the seemingly limitless expansion of the universe. Oscar carries that mythology forward as a whimsical companion filled with character, artistry, and imagination.

Henri, the Hippocampus

Half horse, half fish, the hippocampus was one of the most fantastical creatures of ancient Greek mythology, a graceful inhabitant of an untamed mythological sea.

Henri brings this legendary creature into the Anthologist world, embodying the beauty, mystery, and freedom of the ancient seas in a form made to be held, loved, and carried along on new adventures.

Elliott, the Flying Dragon

Elliott begins with a more personal mythology.

Inspired by the imaginary flying dragon of Andria’s childhood, Elliott once accompanied her on journeys around the world, bringing protection, comfort, wonder, and a little magic whenever it was needed.

Now brought to life as part of the Ark, Elliott is a reminder of the imaginary companions we never entirely leave behind.
