Anthologist is proud to unveil an exclusive collaboration with Valsamakis, one of Greece’s most revered ceramic ateliers. For decades, the Valsamakis studio has been a touchstone of modern Greek ceramic art—founded by Yannis Valsamakis, a master modernist who once served on artistic juries alongside Pablo Picasso. His legacy lives on in a studio that continues to shape clay with intellect, intuition, and quiet poetry.
Together, we’ve created something rare. The Anthologist x Valsamakis collection features hand-thrown plates and sculptural tiles that blur the line between utility and art. At the heart of the collaboration is our exclusive Chimera—a mythical fusion of lion, goat, and serpent—reimagined in clay as a symbol of layered identity and transformation. Other pieces feature whimsical creatures imagined especially for us, each one an echo of Greece’s rich mythological landscape.
