Vintage, Hand-Woven Table Runner with Folkloric Design
A woven story
A thought, a philosophy
Each is nostalgia
Table runners were used in traditional households to showcase the art of sharing. Plates of food were joyously placed on it, and stories were told. Here, gorgeous cross stich is showcased in a stunning color palette is accented by fringe in the same hues, ideal for your dining table, or used as a wall hanging. It also makes a wonderful hostess gift.
Each entirely unique, Anthologist’s textiles are a coveted collection of those sought-after, magazine page-worthy pieces that are sure sell-outs. All of our stock is sourced from personal collections of the highest quality craftsmanship, with each piece hand-chosen by our founder based on rarity, provenance, and artisanal integrity. When sourced, most textiles remain NFS (not for sale) in our founder’s personal collection, with each piece slowly released into the inventory on an ongoing basis.
As each piece was painstakingly handmade on a loom, there can be natural defects, as well as minor signs of age, appropriate to its provenance and past use, which we find quite beautiful, adding to its soul.
