A tear here and there
Seams that mark a life of soul
Woven of your love

Description

Rare in its composition, this traditional Cretan wall-hanging is a celebration of color. The duo of pagoni or peacock, in bright blue are framed by a natural green, with punches of color accentuating the handiwork of the artisan. An extremely rare find, it’s size is ideal for a wall hanging, or, like Anthologist’s founder recommends, frame it in a contrasting textile for a fabulous throw at the end of your bed. A conversation piece that works even in a contemporary space.

Each entirely unique, Anthologist’s textiles are a coveted collection of those sought-after, magazine page-worthy pieces that are sure sell-outs. All of our stock is sourced from personal collections of the highest quality craftsmanship, with each piece hand-chosen by our founder based on rarity, provenance, and artisanal integrity. When sourced, most textiles remain NFS (not for sale) in our founder’s personal collection, with each piece slowly released into the inventory on an ongoing basis.

As each piece was painstakingly handmade on a loom, there can be natural defects, as well as minor signs of age, appropriate to its provenance and past use, which we find quite beautiful, adding to its soul.
